Crab Apples?
This post will be short, so don’t worry. It has come across my desk more than once where those who are in a position of authority or those who run by the label, “Christian” are anything but. They talk the talk (to a certain degree anyway), and walk A walk, but when it comes down to “the test”, they fail miserably. But woe to us if we say anything at all.
‘Well that’s unloving.”
“Don’t be judgmental.”
“Ye without sin…”
I have it more than once where I have been told to deal with the log in my own eye…you can guess the rest.
I have had it up to the gills with those who supposedly represent Jesus, and they allow all the filth of the world into their lives. What’s worse, those in this blogosphere have a great power and responsibility. I have over three hundred views a day on average and they come from all over the world. Not just the United States and Canada, but place like India, Kenya, Hungary, Turkey, etc. I have a great responsibility in guiding my readers into the truth. I will be held accountable if my post, pictures and/or media lead people astray. I have seen it too many times where someone is rebuking something that is happening in the world or the church and they include pictures/videos to show us what they are talking about. I don’t need to see what pole-dancing in the church looks like. I don’t need to see what beach church looks like and I certainly don’t need to hear what depths Amy Grant has sunk to in order to reach some.
Crab Grass?
We as Christians live by different standards than the world. We live in the shadow of Jesus Christ. God commanded us to be holy as He is holy. He gave us the standards to live by and expects us to live by them. I have said it once and I’ll say it again: If your actions are not for the glory of Jesus, then they will only serve as fuel for the fire you will be thrown into.
Live like you have Jesus constantly walking beside you, live like the souls around you depend on your lifestyle in order to be saved and live to say thank you to Jesus for what He did for you on the cross.
Everyone around you can be considered Jesus in disguise. You should treat every person the same way you want to be treated. Would you want to be subjected to fire? No one wants to be burned, and in exposing those around you to blatant sin would be the same as exposing someone’s heart and soul to flames of fire.
What would the world think about us if they saw the same stuff on our blogs as what the world boasts? “Well I don’t see a difference, why should I change?”
Our conversation, lifestyle and attitude should make the world uncomfortable. If the world’s not squirming, then something’s wrong.
“Of 100 unsaved men, one will read the Bible; 99 will read the Christian.”

Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution, 2 Timothy 3:12.
Some, who say they are Christians, and yet hate truth, must surely be living under the strong delusion, 2 Thess 2:11, that God speaks about in His word.
We are UNDER the authority of scripture. We don’t have to like it, or believe it, it is what it is.
We are under God’s word. His word stands. It always has and will.
There is a hell, and there is an eternity to pay, for spitting on God’s word. Whether literally or otherwise.
May God open the hearts of the lost, especially those who profess His name.

Since the word of God tells us to use discernment, how is that different from judging?
If people are not judging, how come Christians are desperately looking for a church to attend?
What does Jesus mean when He says judge with righteous judgment, John 7:24?
Only the individual can answer those questions. And do so with your Bible open.

I guess that’s the point, huh? No Bible open, no discernment, no judgment of right and wrong…and Satan walks unmolested amongst the brethren. Jesus spoke about always doing the right thing. Always glorifying God, always standing for truth. He wasn’t crucified for being popular y’know and we will be hunted, discriminated against, lied about and killed for the same reasons. Those who call themselves Christians and experience no persecution will be eventually weeded out as tares.
