“Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the LORD.”
- Leviticus 19:28
The latest tendency of the world and the church to go out and get tattoos is very disturbing indeed. To see the so called church bowing to this trend is very uncomfortable. God condemns this practice calling it something the heathen did. It is wrong and no matter how we justify this in order to partake in this trend, any of us who do cut our bodies and draw images on ourselves will be judged.

I suppose some so called ‘christians’ will say, ‘Well, I’m not doing it for the dead’. So, who or what are they doing it for?
I know of Christians who have tatoos saying ‘Jesus is Lord’. So they would say they are doing it for God. Sure, they are going against His word, but after all, are they not doing it for Him? Or, in other words, the ends justify the means. That’s not God’s way, but man’s, and it is truly condemned.
I don’t have any tattoos or piercings but I have talked to those who have. Most say the same thing, they did it for the adrenaline rush. They wanted to get a rush from the pain. I can only imagine how painful it must be to mark my body with a needle or punch my ears full of holes from a gun. Is a so called slave of Christ justified in saying, ‘Well they are religious in theme.”? Justin Beber said that as well…is he a s Christian? Hardly.
We can justify anything, and most of us do. If we want something bad enough, we will make any excuse to defend our decision.
As far as I see it, the enemy has branded those who are his, and it will be very easy to tell the wheat from the tares. All that ink will make the fires of hell burn brighter I suppose.

Judgment begins at the house of God.
