The Church is in Trouble - Its Main Problem Today...

Reblogged from jesaja 66:2:

The church is in trouble — that’s what they say anyways.  The main problem is that

  1. most of what they call the church is not the church, and
  2. the true church is not quite as in trouble as everybody thinks.

As a matter of fact, the true church today is absolutely beautiful—she’s glorious, she’s humble, she’s broken, and she’s confessing her sin.

I’m not sure I had to go past those first words and read the other 195 to agree with you as I do especially in light of these verses: Psalm 89:Psa 89:11 The heavens are yours; the earth also is yours; the world and all that is in it, you have founded them.
Psa 89:12 The north and the south, you have created them; Tabor and Hermon joyously praise your name.
Psa 89:13 You have a mighty arm; strong is your hand, high your right hand.
Psa 89:14 Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne; steadfast love and faithfulness go before you.
Psa 89:15 Blessed are the people who know the festal shout, who walk, O LORD, in the light of your face,
Psa 89:16 who exult in your name all the day and in your righteousness are exalted.

    or

Psa 135:1 Praise the LORD! Praise the name of the LORD, give praise, O servants of the LORD,
Psa 135:2 who stand in the house of the LORD, in the courts of the house of our God!
Psa 135:3 Praise the LORD, for the LORD is good; sing to his name, for it is pleasant!
Psa 135:4 For the LORD has chosen Jacob for himself, Israel as his own possession.
Psa 135:5 For I know that the LORD is great, and that our Lord is above all gods.
Psa 135:6 Whatever the LORD pleases, he does, in heaven and on earth, in the seas and all deeps.

Seeing the Lord founded the heavens that are His and the earth, too, the world and everything in it as He has founded the Church I don’t suppose, either, that She is in any trouble, rather I believe those who believe She is in any trouble are in a lot of trouble believing that?

And seeing the LORD does whatever He pleases in heaven and on earth, in the seas or the deeps, I suppose no one is going to stop Him from completing what He started?

Thanks for the reminder though. It just goes to show others are believing what you are supposing is Truth about Him and His Church, too!

    • Yes, great reminder. I do not have the references with me at the moment, but the Scriptures say that God controls the king and turns him in the way He pleases. God also says that man plans his steps, but God directs his paths. God is sovereign and we are His property. Shouldn’t one who owns something have the right to do as he pleases with it? The church and the lost are entirely walking according to His plans and His script. Nothing surprise Him and nothing is outside His will, including sin and suffering. The so called church will fall away because they were not saved in the first place. The true bride of Christ will be held together and protected and used to proclaim the Gospel in His timing and His way. Whether it be through persecution or prosperity, it’s entirely His choice.

Thanks for dropping by, stay awhile and be blessed.

This is wonderful…I had to reblog. Hey CHURCH….lift up your heads. Our Bridegroom knows exactly who we are and He is coming to bring us to our Wedding. How glorious. :-)

Is it just me? Or, is the realisation that I have no idea what the real Church looks like, is slowly dawning on me?

I mean, the book of Acts Christianity. Who sees that in the West nowadays?

If you know, please tell me, because, I just don’t see it anymore.

    • To be honest myself, we have no clue. That has been lost. I would love to spend time researching and finding out the ancient ways of the early church. There is so much that we don’t know. Pray for wisdom that God will open your eyes and mine to the truth.
