It seems I have contracted this horrible flu that is going around. I feel like I am wearing concrete clothing, whilst I walk around in sand.
Headache? Yes!
Stomach problems? Yes!
Aches and pains? Yes!
I got ‘em all.
The problem with me is this: when I get sick and it’s rare, I can’t sleep. The ability to sleep evades me and if I take any sort of remedy, whether it be store bought or home-made, it makes it even worse! So in the last two days, I have had about two hours sleep, and that includes attempted naps in the afternoon.
Please pray for me. Don’t send flowers. If you want to send anything, send beef jerky. It’ll taste good, but I probably won’t be able to hold it down for long.
…yeesh!

Be joyful brother. Philippians 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord always (even when you feel awful). I will say it again: Rejoice!

Thank you brother…always needed when one feels as awful as I do.

I feel for you Paul. It’s a great reminder of how fragile we are.
I’ve not had the chance to Praise God for illness this winter but it’s only a matter of time.
May He grant you a speedy recovery.

Certainly goes against the flow, doesn’t it? Thanks for the encouragement.

I know you feel bad, but did you have to put your picture on view, for all the world to see how bad you really are?
Just kidding. Hope you get better soon. At least you still have your sense of humour, so there hope for a speedy recovery.
A merry heart does good, like medicine…Proverbs 17:22.
God bless.

Thanks Doreen. Yes, it’s been rough, because this darn flu has slowly come on over the course of a couple of weeks. It’s like waiting for the executioner to come to your cell and he’s taking his time. Anyway, my wife is feeling it in full force today now so as I slowly get better, she’s sicker than a dog who just ate a bunch of left over Chinese food he found in the back of the fridge…ugh.

I immediately stopped reading about your sickness for fear I may catch it finishing reading?
So sorry I cannot finish reading what you wrote but if the pithy saying a picture is worth a thousand words, I don’t even want to look at you in person let alone finish reading what you wrote!

Oh please…don’t make me laugh! I hurt too much. I am to the coughing and runny nose stage now…At least I don’t have to worry about the mad dash to find kleenex in the middle of the night seeing as I will be awake to notice the running nose. BTW…that’s not me in the picture…I look much worse!

How are you feeling today? Any better?
The Master's Slave said:
Worse actually. Four days without sleep. I guess I just have to wait it out. Still have to go to work and all which takes a lot out of me. God’s in control. Thanks for caring.
doreen said:
Hope you are drinking lots of water to stay hydrated. That is important.
No, I’m not a doctor, but I think it’s general knowledge.
Take care.
The Master's Slave said:
Yeah, doing my best. Hard though, when one’s stomach doesn’t like to keep anything down.
doreen said:
Hate to ask, but how’s the health? Any better?
Hope so.

Well I finally slept ALL night, praise God! I still feel like my head is in a bucket and my ears are still plugged, but I am slowly recovering. I had a fever yesterday and my resting heart-rate at one point was actually 148! But I pressed on and after work last night I felt something lift. So on the road to recovery I go. No one else seems to be sick in the house, Zabeth is doing pretty good as well.
Thanks for caring, and I truly appreciate your concern. Thank you friend!

Just wondering, how’s the health doing now?
The Master's Slave said:
About 75% now. But with this flu/cold business, it seems to rear its ugly head from time to time. Like today, I woke up with a soar throat. I have talked to others I know who have had this and they all concur. It’s a strange flu this time as it hangs on. Getting better, little bit at a time. Thanks for asking and hope all is well there.
