God never clothes men until He has first stripped them, nor does He quicken them by the gospel till first they are slain by the Law. When you meet with persons in whom there is no trace of conviction of sin, you may be quite sure that they have not been wrought upon by the Holy Spirit; for ‘when He is come, He will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment.’
Sound familiar? Most of it’s okay, so it’s…okay, right? Just like this poor child getting told what-for, most of him is clean, yes some of him is now polutted with filth, but at least we can say that most of him is clean! That’s what matter, right? So that being the case, his mom would be silly to rush over and clean him up. Why should she? He’s mostly clean, leave him alone. After all he’ll be happier. Anyway, who does she think she is pushing her views on him? Maybe he will like being this way? Why not let him decide?
“A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump.“
~Galatians 5.9 KJV
Part four of our series, enlightening the one who draws near to Jesus with their lips, while their hearts are far from Him.
2nd Corinthians 1:3-5–Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.
John 14:15-18 (KJV)–“If ye love me, keep my commandments. And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.”
